Hayula Ink Support

hayula, LLC · The Hayula Ink app for iPad

Most questions are answered below. For anything else, write to us from inside the app: open Settings, then Contact us. It is a direct chat with the Hayula team, and our reply appears in the same place. If you cannot open the app, use the contact form on hayula.com; it opens your own mail app with the message ready. Tell us your username (not your password) and the iPad model and iPadOS version, and we will get back to you.

Signing in

Hayula Ink uses one Hayula account for every Hayula app. Sign in with Apple or with Google. If you already created your account in another Hayula app, use the same Apple or Google identity and your username and PIN code come with you. We never see or store your Apple or Google password.

Your PIN code

The PIN code is the identity code of your Hayula account: eight characters, chosen once, the same in every Hayula app. It is not a lock on the app and not a password. You can see it any time in Settings, then Account, then PIN code.

Subscription and restoring purchases

  • Hayula Ink is used with a monthly subscription sold by Apple through the App Store. It includes every drawing tool in the app and up to five digital originals (NFT) a month, drawings or books as you choose. The price, the period and any introductory offer are shown before you buy.
  • One subscription serves one Hayula account: it stays with the account you bought it with. Another Hayula account, even on the same iPad, needs its own subscription, bought with another Apple account.
  • If the subscription ends, your works stay on your iPad and you can still open and export your saved drawings and books. The notebook requires an active subscription. Editing, starting new works and registering digital originals need an active subscription.
  • To restore a subscription on a new iPad, open Settings in the app, then Subscription, then Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple account you bought it with.
  • To manage or cancel it, use Manage Apple subscriptions in the app’s Settings, or your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Your books and drawings

Your work is stored on your iPad, not on our servers. Each Hayula account that signs in on the iPad sees only its own works. Deleting the app deletes its data, so keep your own backups (check that your chosen backup includes the app’s data). Exporting images and PDFs has no limit.

Digital originals (NFT)

In the export sheet of a drawing or a book, choose to register it as a digital original. For one hour you can still change its title and cover; then minting is scheduled on the Base blockchain with your PIN code and shown in your Hayula Wallet. If minting fails for good, the original does not count toward the month’s five and you can register it again from the same sheet. After the app synchronises a successful mint, the work opens read-only: you can read and export it in the app, but not edit it. Processing can be delayed. The allowance resets each calendar month in UTC, separately from billing. Blockchain records are public and permanent. To check whether any HYLE file is a registered original, open Settings, then Digital originals, then Verify a digital original.

Language

Hayula Ink speaks English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean. It opens in English, or in Spanish, French, Simplified Chinese, Japanese or Korean when your iPad uses that language. To change it, open Settings, then Language.

Deleting your account

Open Settings in the app, then Account, then Delete account, and confirm. Your account, username, PIN code and support messages are removed from our servers when deletion completes, for every Hayula app. Your local books and drawings stay in that account’s separate folder on your iPad. Export anything you want to keep before deleting your account. Digital originals already registered stay on the blockchain, which cannot be changed. A subscription is managed in your Apple account and is not cancelled by deleting the Hayula account.
